The four founders of Lottbridge Systems originally comprised the entire IT Department of the Whiteline Group. While employed the IT infrastructure of the Whiteline Group was updated and kept at the forefront of current technology. The premises - covering four sites - were re-cabled using structured cabling, radio links, and laser links. A total of ten servers have been commissioned on-site handling fileserving, email, internet gateway, database management routines, and fax.
A complete in-house software package was developed in parallel with the company, handling customer account management, supplier account management, purchase orders, sales orders, stock control, personnel management, swipe card machines for time and attendance, production, reporting, accounts reconciliation, and work-flow monitoring. The package has been integrated with the production systems (Window Designer), accounts software (Pegasus Opera II), and email software (Officetalk).
Servers have been comissioned that monitor the work-flow of items passing through the database and poll responsible individuals when items require their attention thus opening up two-way communication between the system and the users - jobs that need evaluating, credits that need authorising, escalating issues that are overdue and asking for help if system failures are detected.
In an independent audit of the Whiteline Group we were rated in the top 5% of IT Departments in the UK, and our support and development services are now still enjoyed by the Whiteline Group in the form of an annual Support Contract. |
